  • Why are there two different places to buy things?
Alps Creative Co. LLC utilizes two methods to deliver our services to our consumers. The first is located under the "Shop" tab on our website. The second is a link to our shop page on Helcim. Helcim is the platform that Alps Creative Co. LLC utilizes to accept payments securely. If you are looking to purchase a product or service, you will be directed to our shop page on Helcim. If you are looking to download free resources and services, you can either use our "Shop" or our shop page on Helcim. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out via the contact form on our website.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
Alps Creative Co. LLC is able to accept a variety of payment methods through Helcim, our online payment processor. Through Helcim, we are able to securely receive credit and debit card transactions as well as ACH, or direct transfer from your banking institution.
  • Why isn't your shop integrated on your website?
Alps Creative Co. LLC is an organization that prides ourselves on transparency. The reason that our shop is not integrated on our website is due to the fact that this site is created via Wix. In light of the genocide that is happening in Gaza, Alps Creative Co. LLC has determined to not move forward with purchasing an ecommerce plan from Wix. After the year that we pre-paid for is up, Alps Creative Co. LLC will be moving our website to a platform that does not have ties to a country that is involved in genocide.
  • How do I know my credit card information is secure?
Alps Creative Co. LLC has been certified as PCI-DSS compliant by Helcim as of March 6, 2024. PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is a set of standards designed to ensure that credit card information remains safe and is captured and transmitted in a secure way. In other words, it is a set of rules to reduce the risk of fraudsters, hackers and thieves from stealing sensitive credit card information. If you have further questions about our information security policy, please see our policies page here. If you have further questions regarding Helcim and their security standards, please reach out to us.
  • Why doesn't Alps Creative Co. LLC have PayPal?
Alps Creative Co. LLC has chosen not to enter into business with PayPal at this time due to the fact that they refuse to serve Palestinians living in Israeli-occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip. PayPal provides services to Israeli citizens in illegal settlements across the West Bank. We at Alps Creative Co. LLC believe that PayPal's business practices infringe upon the rights of Palestinians. If Alps Creative Co. LLC were to enter into business with PayPal, a percentage of profits from our services and products would go to PayPal. We refuse to provide profits to companies that infringe upon people's rights.
  • I submitted my order, but didn't pay for it?
The way that our store works is *unique* while we are in transition to building our new ecommerce platform. Once you submit your order form, you will receive an invoice for us where you are able to pay for your order. The platform that we use to process payments is called Helcim (a Stripe alternative) and is completely secure. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out!
  • What platform was Alps Creative Co. made on?
The Alps Creative Co. LLC website was created via Wix. In light of the genocide that is happening in Gaza, Alps Creative Co. LLC has determined to not move forward with our relationship with Wix following the expiration of our contract. After the year that we pre-paid for is up, Alps Creative Co. LLC will be moving our website to a platform that does not have ties to a country that is involved in genocide. If Alps Creative Co. LLC were to integrate our shop on our site, Wix would see a portion of these profits. Alps Creative Co. LLC does not enter into business with or provide profits to companies which have ties to a country that is involved in genocide. Our contract with Wix has already been paid for the year prior to our knowledge of these ties. Alps Creative Co. LLC is not currently paying for any additional services month-to-month.
  • Why do you have a safe space policy?
Alps Creative Co. LLC is a queer owned small business. Our founder's intersectional identities have made them the target for an array of harassment over the years. Alps Creative Co. LLC refuses to be a space that is not safe for individuals of all identities. If we believe you are being hostile, harassing, or using hate-speech towards anyone, we will remove you from our site and take additional action as necessary. You have a right to free speech and we have a right to remove you from our site.
  • Is Alps Creative Co. a non-profit?
Short answer: no. Alps Creative Co. is legally a for-profit LLC (limited liability corporation). This does not mean that we run our business like corporate America typically runs for-profit companies. To put it simply, one of the main differences between a for-profit and non-profit is the leadership structure. A non-profit has a board of directors who get to appoint the executive director and have a say in all large decisions and how the budget is run. A for-profit allows for a single owner and there does not need to be a board of directors. Typically, a board of directors is in place for a type of checks and balances for the non-profit organization. The reason that we did not go with this legal structure is because our founder has many goals and visions for this company and does not want to be limited by what a board of directors may or may not allow. Additionally, our founder wanted to retain the rights and ownership to Alps Creative Co. We strive to be as transparent as a non-profit organization (or even more transparent). We will be running our company with full transparency. One of the steps towards this is the FAQ section where we explain how we plan to be socially responsible and transparent. If you have any questions about how we run our organization, please feel free to reach out and let us know!
